Listing is for a beautiful handpainted porcelain cottage that is part of the Heritage Village Collection. Made exclusively for Department 56, it's dubbed as "Peggotty's Seaside Cottage." It's based on the boathouse in David Copperfield by Charles Dickens.
The box itself is a bit worn and dented from age (last picture) but the porcelain has not been damaged at all.
It was issued originally in 1989 and retired in 1992 and would be a wonderful gift for someone who loves holiday decor.
