The English manager led Barca to La Liga victory in 1985 with Steve Archibald scoring 15 league goals. The following season was tough on Barca, finishing runners-up in La Liga whilst being beaten finalists in the Copa Del Rey and European Cup. Throughout this period, other notable players to wear the shirt were Diego Maradona, Gary Lineker, Michael Laudrup, Mark Hughes, Bernt Schuster, Victor Munoz and Zubizarreta.
